Costa Rica is always between warm and hot with the temperature primarily influenced by altitude, typically averaging around 80 degrees f. The higher you ride the cooler it gets and vice versa. The Pacific Coast can be very hot at sea level although significantly less humidity than say Florida. There is normally little or no rain between mid November & early May, then from around late May to the end of October you will experience rain (normally in the afternoon only so mornings exactly the same as the dry season), sometimes very heavy, sometimes not so just come prepared. The rain is refreshing and revitalizes the beautiful Flora and Fauna of Costa Rica and as soon as it stops it just evaporates away, nothing like Northern US/UK/Northern European cold rain!
